Hey everyone , first let me start off by saying thank you to all of you who have voted in the poll so far ,right now Capitalism seems to be popular right now but things could change by Sunday so keep voting !.
So last night I went to Silvercity at Yorkdale Mall with my friend Clare to go see the double feature of Toy Story 1+2 in 3D. The ticket price is a bit more expensive then normal since its 3D .
For Adult be prepared to shell out $14.50 plus tax
Children pay $11.99 + tax
Seniors pay same as Children.
The reason why you really pay more is because your paying for the 3D glasses that allow you to experience the movie.
Funniest thing on the labeling was a big warning saying "WARNING DO NOT USE AS SUNGLASSES" -( i wonder if people are actually that stupid and wear them as sunglasses?)
Anyways on to the film itself:
Before the film actually stats there's a cute little thing done by all the characters you know and love from both films talking about the film in 3d, you also get a very exclusive look at the REAL Toy Story 3 trailer (not the one thats floating around Youtube right now ) I have to say from the trailer it looks like its gonna be pretty good ,but then you have to think to yourself , how many more disney sequels are coming out? ( You can check this out on your own but to my knowledge Cars 2 and i think Monsters Inc 2 are coming out in the near future)
TOY STORY 1+2 IN 3D was actually pretty good , if you enjoyed them when they first came out your going to love them in 3D . Some notable changes in the first one was that there was 2 new songs added ( at least i think they were new , but its been a while since I saw Toy Story in theaters so I could be wrong... ( If someone else who saw the film could let me know if they thought the same thing that would be great !) Anyways after the first film ended you have a 10 min intermission to do as they say in the video shown before and between the films "use the facilities ,grab a snack and throw out your garbage" . In the 10 min intermisson called " Toy Story Trivia and Treats" they have of course fun Toy Story trivia ,fun facts and also a look at what the EARLY and i mean EARLY versions of Buzz and Woddy looked like during screen tests and I have to say its a GOOD THING ,they changed Woody to what he is now cause that version would have freaked out a lot of little kids...
Now after this "intermission" its on to Toy Story 2 which in my opinion was much more entertaining to watch then number 1 , as it has a lot more humours aspects to it ,and if your over the age of 12 you actually will see some underlining "adult humour" . Also if you pay attention to the dialogue you will hear the prospector reveal a hint about the 3rd film saying
"Do you really expect Andy to take you to college ,and on his honeymoon?" during which the audience bursts out laughing having already seen the trailer for the 3rd film prior to the movie.
You will also notice things ( items) from the first film in the second . An example that I dare you all to notice is the pizza planet truck ,very easy to spot :).
Overall the experience was pretty enjoyable especially in 3D the graphics look much better detailed and though they promote it as the characters actually coming out of the screen at you , they dont really do that...
I give this double feature 4 stars /5 . Its great for every age but if you want to go when no little kids and families will be going i suggest going in the evening ,though be prepared it is a 3 and half hr film..
Also just to update on the interview I said i would be posting with Clare I will try to do that but have been having issues with the audio so I most likely will post the interview in text form.
Thats all for today ,Feel free to leave me comments and vote on the poll and give me your feedback on this film and any others you have seen :)
